Vintage Totally MINT BAKELITE FLAPPER GIRL Sewing Kit  

Here is a fantastic figural Bakelite flapper lady sewing kit. She is in totally MINT condition. Face paint is all intact and gorgeous.Thimble is the hat and unscrews for use and the lady also unscrews in the center to reveal a sectioned celluloid spool holder to hold needles and thread. The top of the spool holder also opens to store the needles. She consists of a jadite green case with a flesh head, black hair and a salmon colored thimble hat. Measures 4 1/4 in. tall. Very hard to find in this fabulous condition...so don?ft miss out!

BAKELITE Sewing Kit Black Man Golliwog Type

Here is a fantastic figural Bakelite black man golliwog type porter or bellhop sewing kit from my personal collection. Thimble is the base and it unscrews to reveal a spool to hold needles and thread. It is a bright yellow case with a black head and a bright red hat. Condition is excellent with the exception of minor paint wear..no chips or cracks. Measures 2 3/4 in.

RARE Celluloid Egg Shaped Box w/sterling Thimble

Wonderfully unusual Celluloid egg shaped box which holds a sterling silver thimble. The inside of the box is lined in cream satin and is marked Johann Wagner and John Berlin W. The outside of the egg is that beautiful lined French Ivory celluloid and has a gold design etched around the center of the egg where it opens. It is in excellent condition. The egg is approximately 2 1/4 in. x 1 1/2 in. The size of a real egg . The thimble is marked Sterling 7. When held up to the light you can’t see any holes. It has a lovely simple beaded design around the bottom rim. It has 2 very minute indentations, one on the top and one on the side. Neither detracts from the uniqueness of this item though. A very unusual vintage find! A wonderful gift for the celluloid box, egg or thimble collector. Would be great in an Easter basket!
